My sister kept looking at my blog and asking when I was going to post something new…life has been busy and my knitting has been taking up a lot of my time and is coming along really well.
Both of my boys are in gymnastics and the eldest in playing basketball so with sports, kinder, a few play dates, house stuff and the odd job for hubbies business and I’m pretty buggered by the end of the day.

Anyway I did visit a friend today who I haven’t seen for a while and had a great time catching up while her and her friend scrapbooked while I made cards.  I did however, only manage to make one card in three hours, I did get images stamped and cut out but there was also a bit of chatting.  : )

This card was made using Groovy Guava and Purely Pomergranate papers and ink from Stampin Up and the stamps were purchased from Spotlight.  This card also celebrates my 1000 visits on my blog, I know it’s nothing compared to other blogs, but hey it’s still exciting for me.

Yesterday I was also busy spring cleaning with my hubby and boys, and even more spring cleaning today.  As well as the spring cleaning I also finally got around to painting the flames on the boys billy cart that they made with thier dad.  I am very proud of my flames! And of course the boys think they a so cool!

The billy cart is on it’s side while it dries. It has had a clear protectant coat sprayed on and then a few layers of protectant clear paint and will be ready for the boys to go for a ride tomorrow.

A few weeks ago I visited my sister Kristy and she let me use some of her Stampin Up! stamps, here are some of the cards I made using her stamps.

This card was made using the Always stamp  set from Stampin Up!  I love this stamp set and it is on my wish list.  I used Blue Bayou paper and ink from Stampin Up! and the other papers were from a scrapbooking company.

This card was made using The Always stamp set by Stampin Up! as well.
I used Purely Pomergranate, Old Olive , Blue Bayou and Pumpkin Pie Stampin Up! inks and Pumpkin Pie and Blue Bayou papers.

If you want to find out more about Stampin Up! products or learn how to make cards visit my sister Kristy’s blog

Thanks for reading my blog, I hope I have provided you with some inspiration.

Cheers,
Paula.

Last night I went to a 40th for one of the mums in my mums group.  I dont get to see them much as I dont live in the same town as my mums group anymore, so it was a really great night catching up with them all.

My eldest son and I stayed the night and had a sleep over at Kerrie’s (one of the mum’s from mums group).

Today was the first day Kerrie has made cards, and either I am a legend at teaching or she is an absolute natural!  We started by making a fathers day card and then ended up making boy birthday cards as my son keeps complaining that all the cards I make are too girly.

We both had lots of fun, I think Kerrie was surprised that she could make such nice cards, and I experiemented a bit and made cards using staples and sewing on a sewing machine for the first time…very excited.  I feel like creatively I am really growing and it makes me feel so good, LOVE it!

So here are our creations…enjoy!

We also went to a 1st birthday party on the weekend and the kids had a great time.  It was a weekend of catching up with friends, fun and fabulous cards!  I think so anyway.  : )

Well we have had lots of babies being born and I haven’t had enough baby cards so over the last few days I have had a card making marathon with my sister, Susannah.  Luckily she loves me lots and let me use all her stuff because I was staying over at her place and didn’t bring any of card making supplies, I now owe her some new papers which I will order soon.  Here are my cards, you can see I was having a great time using her embossing tool, ribbon and my other sister, Kristy’s stamp set.

I’m now ready for lots of babies to be born, especially my sister Susannah’s, due just after a week from now.

I love babies, as I’ve mentioned in other posts I have my two beautiful boys who are no longer babies but the 3 year old is still very cute and my 5 year old is looking more mature every day.  Anyway I love babies because they remind us of the miracle of life, and after loosing my mum almost two years ago now I can easily focus on the sadness that this brings to me.  Babies remind me that there is a beginning and and ending to every life, and even though I really miss my mum, she got to experience being a baby, a daughter, a teenager, an adult, marriage, her own babies and watching them grow into adults and her own grand children.  I promise to remind myself of this mum, I remember you often and sometimes the memories make me laugh… and cry.  You loved babies mum, and you loved making cards….I dedicate these cards to you.

Love Paula….yes I’m crying now, but only because I love you so much.

Sorry for getting a bit emotional, hope you like my cards.

Paula.

Ok, this is going to read like gibberish as it is 12:30am but here is my entry to the Kwerner Colour Challenge.

I’ve used river rock paper and stamped the flowers in river rock, and stamped the boho and Whimsy Graden butterfly stamp using wild wasabi and then punched a purely pomegranate circle to go behind the boho stamp and a regal rose scallop behind that.  I used my sisters stamp cherish, which is also from the Stampin Up collection, but I’m not sure which stamp set. Finished it off with a bit of sparkle here and there.

This is my first challenege, and I’m happy with it but I did spend all night on just one card….

A cute simple card….

One of my most recent card designs.  I will post more over the next few days.

I made these cards with the Garden Whimsey stamp set I bought from my sister Kristy Young www.youngstamper.wordpress.com  who is an Independant Stampin Up consultant.

To make these cute little cards I used:

  • Garden Whimsey stamp set
  • Scallop punch
  • 3.2cm Circle punch
  • Purely Pomergrant Colour Stampin’ Pad
  • Papers, Blue Bayou and River Rock.
  • White Card Stock

These are cards are really quick to make and are great to attach to a small gift to say thank you.

I’m really loving using the scallop and circle punches, and the stamp set is great.  You can create so many different cards or even scrapbook designs using these stamps. Here are some more designs using the same stamp set below.

Have fun deisgning your cards!

Paula.
